Now Open in Oak Brook!

A new Egg Harbor Café opened on December 22, 2016, in a beautiful location at 2054 York Road in Oak Brook, IL. Owners Aimee and Mike Farrell have loved the Oak Brook area ever since they hatched the first Egg Harbor Café in nearby Hinsdale in December 1985. “We’ve had our eye on Oak Brook for many years,” said Aimee, “and we are thrilled to extend our reach into this vibrant community.”

The open, light-filled space is just under 5,000 square feet and has 41 tables. It is located near the corner of York and 22nd Street in the Clearwater Shopping Center.

  • Environmentally-friendly kitchen with induction stoves that cook evenly and keep workers cool.

Egg Harbor Café in Oak Brook employs over 30 people. Crystal Jaros, the general manager, has managed locations in Lincolnshire and Libertyville since starting at Egg Harbor Café in 2003. Her co-manager, Autumn McKenzie became a manager in September. Most of the Oak Brook location’s employees worked together at the Egg Harbor Café in Yorktown Center before it closed its doors on December 2. Although this great group of employees found it hard to say goodbye to Lombard, they are excited to be part of this new experience. In addition to this talented crew, five new employees were recently hired.

Many of EHC Oak Brook’s cooks have been training at the Hinsdale Egg Harbor Cafe. The kitchen team leader, Javier Nava, came from the Hinsdale kitchen. Crystal is grateful for all the help she has received from EHC Hinsdale while getting ready for this month’s opening: ““From the first store to the newest store, we’re there for each other.”
